Downloading will eventually take advantage of an emerging add-on from another TVADDONS developer, intent being to provide download processing & management across add-ons.
Here’s a quick and easy guide for installing Genesis (formerly known as GoTV and GoMovies) on your Kodi device.
I have added a link on getting the best out of Genesis at the bottom of this page. So once you install Genesis take a little time out to read that guide.
If you are seeing an empty Lambda repo then scroll past this guide for a quick fix.
- Open Kodi
- Select SYSTEM > File Manager
- Select Add Source
- Select None
- Type the following EXACTLY http://kodi.metalkettle.co and select Done
- Highlight the box underneath Enter a name for this media Source & type MK Repo
- Select OK
- Go back to your Home Screen
- Select SYSTEM
- Select Add-Ons
- Select Install from Zip File
- Select MK Repo or whatever you named the repo
- Select Recommended Repositories
- Select repository.lambda-1.1.0.zip
- Wait for Add-on enabled notification
- Select Get Add-Ons or Install from Repository (on Isengard)
- Select lambda Add-on repository
- Select Video Add-ons
- Select Genesis
- Select Install
- Wait for Add-on enabled notification
Genesis is now installed and ready to use. As usual you can access the add-on via your Video add-ons section.
The Kodi Tips website has created a Genesis Hosts tip that users may find useful. Visit their page to view the best settings for HD/SD hosts and which sources to disable. A very handy tip.
If you have used the guide above but the Lambda repo is showing as empty for you then do the following.
- Download the Genesis zip & save to a location you can easily access from your Kodi device
- Select SYSTEM
- Select Add-Ons
- Select Install from zip file
- Navigate to the Genesis zip file you just downloaded & select plugin.video.genesis-x.x.x.zip
- Wait for Add-on enabled notification
Genesis is now installed
