As a lot of people are downloading the Specto add-on I thought it would be handy to have a guide for integrating Specto into your Kodi library. If you have already done with Genesis then you will know how to do it as it is exactly the same method. If you haven’t done then just follow the guide below.
For this to work you will have to have used the Add to Library feature that is available through the context menu when you open it over content.
I have removed any mention of the original add-on and replaced it with … but you can see from the images which sections are being chosen
- Open Kodi
- Select VIDEOS > Add-Ons
- Select Specto – … Fork
- Select Tools
- Select … : Library
- Highlight – DO NOT SELECT – … : TV folder… for Movies you would select … : Movie folder
- Open the Context Menu & select Set content
- Select This directory contains & keep selecting until it says This directory contains TV Shows if doing the movie section keep selecting until it says This directory contains Movies
- Select OK
- Select YES when asked if you want to refresh information…
Kodi will now start scanning TVDB for matching TV Shows. Before you can do Movies you must wait for the scan to complete otherwise the Set Content section will not show.
You will now have a TV Shows and Movies section in your main menu. Select either and it will contain the Movies/TV Shows from your Genesis Library
