The GUI sounds (navigation sounds) section has moved in the latest version of Kodi 17 Krypton and, if like myself, you find the sounds really annoying when navigating through Kodi, then this is how you can disable them. You can also set them so they are only audible when nothing is playing on your Kodi device.
How to Disable GUI Sounds Kodi Krypton
- Select Settings
- Select System Settings
- Select Audio
- Select GUI Sounds
- Select None. The GUI sounds will no longer be audible when you navigate through the Kodi interface
- However, if you have downloaded a different sound profile but only want them to play when there is no content like music from your library playing then select the Play GUI sounds section
- Select Only when playback stopped
